The headlines today tempt us to believe there is so little reason to hope. Hopelessness is contagious. The good news is that hope is also contagious. There was a period of time recently when people around the world could not wait to see the news. The story of the trapped miners and their courageous expressions of hope resonated with all of our hearts. In some ways that is what we are all about as Christian Counselors. So many times people come to us trying to dig out of the pit of despair. Like the trapped miners, they long for something to hold on to that offers them hope.

It is not possible to measure how much positive and powerful influence radiates from the BCPPC membership ministries. Our BCPPC members often serve as divinely directed and spiritually energized hope broadcasters. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Perhaps our blog interaction can be a source hope-generating inspiration and information for the BCPPC team as we help each other help others.

I would appreciate you sharing words of encouragement or a brief story of how God used you to bring hope to someone buried under a pile of life challenges. Be in touch.

On another note……we are planning for a reception at the World Conference for all BCPPC credential holders. We will be recognizing the BCPPC member of the year for all four credential levels. We are reviewing Christian Care Network information and member files to identify candidates for this special recognition. Do you know of a colleague that you could confidently recommend? Send me an email ken.nichols@aacc.net. More information on the way!
